As you are aware ESTYN Inspected the school on the 23rd March 2015. We are now in a position to share the ESTYN Inspection report with you.
ESTYN are able to award one of four judgements for current and future prospects. Within these judgements they require the school to fulfil certain criteria.
Castle Park was awarded Adequate for current and future prospects. As a result of this award ESTYN needed to decide if Castle Park needed (a) significant improvement and support from ESTYN and the Local Authority, or (b) ESTYN monitoring.
ESTYN decided that Castle Park needs ESTYN monitoring as it has the capacity to improve internally. As a result of this we will now draw up a Post Inspection Action Plan (PIAP) within 20 days. This will be shared and agreed with the Local Authority.
Castle Park is on a journey of improvement and I hope you would agree that there has been significant improvement over the last 18 months. This inspection report will provide us with a solid baseline that we can build on to make the school stronger in the future. We can only do this by maintaining our strong partnerships with parents.
In the future there will be an open evening for parents to attend school. During this event a summary of the PIAP will be shared and parents will have the opportunity to ask any questions.
In the meantime we urge you to read the inspection report as there are many positive aspects within it. A link has been included on the bottom of this statement.
Thank you for your wonderful continued support.
