October Fundraising Update....a helping hand!

A massive thank you to everyone who has attended our events.  Thanks to your kind generosity we have raised a fantastic amount and we are now starting to collect quotations from companies so that we can select our Outdoor Classroom.  This project is now on target to have our new Outdoor Classroom ready for use in the summer term.  Very exciting!!

Our fundraising efforts have also received a massive boost today with the exciting news that Co-op have selected us as a local cause to benefit from their community fund.

2017 Fundraising Target

After consultation with the school staff it has been decided that this year we are working towards the purchase of an outdoor classroom for the school.

The school have a fantastic outdoor learning ethos already with great green spaces, gardens and a forest school program.

The Friends would like to contribute to this to allow it to become an even greater part of school life.

The outdoor classrooms shown in these example images are what we are aiming for.

These particular models are in excess of £10,000 each including fitting costs.

Even if we cannot reach these lofty fundraising heights there are more modest versions available for around £7000 which we would love to be able to donate to the school with your help.

The Friends have started off the pot with £2,500 from previous events and we will also be applying for grants to see if we can raise money from other sources.

We have numerous ways in which you can help us raise the remainder; funds raised at all of the upcoming Friends events such as discos, film nights and our Wacky Welly Walk, will be going towards this exciting cause.

Check back to this page for updates on how we are doing and how you can help.
